Some more Green

So the Green fever got to me and I registered for the NC 2.2 exam.

At a convention recently, i met a few people who were into the job of Greening the buildings.

I was surprised to know that after USA, UAE has the maximum number of projects undergoing Leed Certification. Interesting.

In terms of HVAC, more the number of green buildings in UAE, the scope for more green buildings increases. The market for material and equipment required for green buildings is building up and future may see a good reduction in the cost of things like R410 refrigerents and CO2 monitors, etc which are fast becoming the practice.

Another interesting fact for UAE is that the biggies, the property developers and facility management companies, in the quest to be the best are using leed certification as a marketing tool by registering their existing buildings (EB) as well; a positive shock really going by the current reputaion of these companies but thankfully change is under way.

Here's looking forward to a sustainable present, a green future and Leed AP certification for me :)
